AIN'T
He was just a little boy,
On a week's first day.
Wandering home from Bible school,
And dawdling on the way.
He scuffed his shoes into the grass;
He even found a caterpillar.
He found a fluffy milkweed pod
And blew out all the 'filler.'
A bird's nest in a tree overhead,
So wisely placed up so high.
Was just another wonder,
That caught his eager eye.
A neighbor watched his zigzag course,
And hailed him from the lawn;
Asked him where he'd been that day
And what was going on.
'I've been to Bible School ,'
He said and turned a piece of sod.
He picked up a wiggly worm replying,
'I've learned a lot about God.'
'M'm, very fine way,' the neighbor said,
'for a boy to spend his time.'
'If you'll tell me where God is,
I'll give you a brand new dime.'
Quick as a flash the answer came!
Nor were his accents faint.
'I'll give you a dollar, Mister,
If you can tell me where God ain't.'

God's Perspective On Hope In Disappointment
Devotional by Sylvia Gunter
Listen to the Word of God for you in Romans 15:13. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Be blessed to let God separate you from the soulish bonds that have held you captive in disappointment and hopelessness. Be blessed by your Father's will, his heart, and his words. Let him do his perfect work to enlarge you to receive more of his fullness and to move you into the authority that he gave your spirit over soul and body. Look to Jesus for ministry. He will shine the light of his Spirit in you to show you who you are and who he is in you and for you. Welcome his light.
The God of hope calls you to hope (Eph 1:18). You were designed for hope. You are his own special creation. He determined for you an appointed place and time. He has given you the good gift of himself to live in you as his temple. He has deposited in you his great love in making you just the way you are, the real you, your true essence. You are blessed as he celebrates, affirms, and validates your unique identity for your authority, calling, and birthright in him. You can hardly receive these words if you have received wounds of disappointment. Your soul has done everything it knows to do to heal them, but still disappointment gnaws deep inside you beyond reach. Jesus, your Kinsman-Redeemer, is ready to redeem the years that the locusts have eaten when you cancel the "appointments" that your soul made with its expectations.
You were created by God for eternity forever with him. Satan can't take that away from you, so he has sent fiery arrows to rob you now, deeply penetrating missiles of disappointment with others, with yourself, and with God.
Jesus your Redeemer wants to pull the poisons out of the wounds in your spirit and your soul. He wants you to know and respond to him as the Way, the Truth, and the Life, because he said, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. And when the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:32,36). God is inviting you to see truth with your eyes, to hear truth with your ears, to understand his truth coming to you in him. That's a powerful invitation. It is life-changing to take ownership, owning up to what you are seeing and hearing, coming out of denial and truly allowing God's truth to come into you. Be blessed as you let God reach into the deep places of your being. Be blessed as you see your disappointments through his eyes. He wants you to exchange his hope for your disappointment, because he loves you dearly and has given you the Holy Spirit to fill you with his love (Rom 5:5, NLT). Be blessed to receive his hope that does not disappoint.
Be blessed in the name of the God of hope who fills you with all joy and peace as you trust him (Rom 15:13).

When you want life to the full...
Here is another one from Holley Gerth:
When you want life to the full...
For years I lived full.
Full schedule.
Full plate.
Full speed ahead.
I found myself weary, wondering,
"Is this really how it's supposed to be?"
And then it seemed God asked me to learn to live differently.
To focus on love.
To make time to listen to His voice.
To embrace what He's called me to do and let all else drop away.
"Isn't that what I've already been doing?" I asked."Don't you want me to be busy, to push myself to the limit?"It seemed the heart of heaven smiled and these grace-words drifted into my day. "Daughter, I did not come to give you a full life. I came to give you life to the full."
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10

Less Stress, More Grace...
The devotion below is not mine...
but it is so relevant for today...I wanted to share it with all!
Less Stress, More Grace
When you feel overwhelmed...
Demands knock on my door.
Burdens beckon me to answer.
The to-do list stretches for miles.
I whisper, "I feel overwhelmed."
And in the stillness it seems I hear...
"Child, open your heart to Me
instead of the demands of the day.
Lay those burdens at My feet, not on your shoulders.
Let go of your list and dare to embrace My grace.
I do not require you to be overwhelmed.
I enable you to overcome.
And with Me, you always will."
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Three Sister's
We are three sisters
Three sisters are we
I love each of you,
And I know you love me
We’re not always together,
Life sometimes keeps us apart.
But we're never separated
We’re in each other's heart.
Now I know we've had our troubles,
But we always get thru.
The real message is you love me,
And I also love you.
We have had lots of good times
That we'll never forget
Sometimes we worry
And sometimes we fret
But if God ever gave me
Something special you see,
It might have been the blessing of,
Three sisters are we.
The Lord above has gave me lots
Of happiness and glee
But the most special thing he did was
Make us sisters, all three.

I'm a Big Girl Now...
I have to post a little story about our almost 3 year old gdaughter. We were chatting at the table and our conversation went like this:
Savannah: "I'm not a baby, I'm a BIG girl now!" (she said this because she got to sit in a regular chair instead of her highchair).
Neenee: "Yes, you are a Big girl! And big girls obey their mommy and daddy...that's how I can tell you are a big girl now!

Our Precious Camden
This pic was taken after Cam's crainofacial surgery to correct his misshaped head and possible pressure to the brain. We are praising The Great Physician for a successful surgery. Dr. Genecov said that all went excellent during the surgery. Our Father God does all things excellent so we praise and thank HIM indeed!
During Cam's recovery time his blood count will be checked twice a day. If it goes to an 8 he will be given a blood transfusion. Right now it's at a 9. As you can imagine Cam is cranky and agitated when he is awake. Since he has also been throwing up he was given meds for nausia and pain.
There is little swelling now as seen in the pic above but by tomorrow morning his eyes will be swollen shut:( This swelling should begin to go down in about 48 hrs. Cam will not be released from the hospital until he can open his eyes (Sat. or Sun.)
So we continue to pray for an excellent recovery for our precious grandson:) And we thank you all for your prayers. We count on them:)
Dr Genecov was able to make the same incision as Cam's first one from his first surgery at 4 months old. That means Cam will only have one scar on his head. Thank you Lord!

40 years that sounds like a really long time, but it seems like only yesterday we tied the solid knot:) We had a quick get-away to the Ozarks in our RV which is something we both love to do.
Life has been good with this man I married...

Indeed I am SO BLESSED to be his wife:)
Thank you, the love of my life,
for a WONDERFUL 40 years together:)
