Life Update...

I am sitting at my daughter's computer in Broken Arrow so thought I would take these few minutes to blog and catch up on our lives.

I am gchildren sitting today. Amy and Kevin took Camden to Dallas, TX this morning for an appointment with the neurosurgeon. Hopefully they will determine why his head continues to grow faster than it should.

All the other Bledsoe gchildren are at school, except Grant. I brought Abbie with me this morn to play with cousin, Grant. They have SO much fun playing together...thus I have some free time to blog.

Let's see: first, as I said it another blog, Cuz'n Camp 2008 went very well. I couldn't have asked for a better, full, purposeful week. I have a few more camp photoshows to make and post.

Son, Todd and fam moved in with us the weekend after Cuz'n Camp. We have all adjusted to this well. They sold their house in Iowa and have bought a house in Broken Arrow, OK. It is near Amy & fam. How fun for them:) They are scheduled to close on both houses the middle/end of September. God is so good:)

Right after Cuz'n Camp we went on a week camping trip with Kelley and fam sponsored by their church. It was a fun, tiring time. The last part of the week was extremely hot. We stayed in the lake, in the boat, or in the camper to keep cool. I have a photoshow to make & post of this time too.

Our gdaughter, Abbie, turned 3 on Aug. 14. She had her "Princess" birthday party at our house the following Sat. I had a delightful time decorating, making her princess chair, and making her castle cake. And of course I have pics and a photoshow to make and post of this special event too

Let's see...what else have I been doing! I have been working on Camden's quilt for his 1st birthday on Sept. 5th. The timing to do this crept up on me too quickly...thus I have kept the candle burning late at night to get it finished. I am thankful to say, it will be finished by the end of the week. I just have the binding to finish around it. Then I need to make his personalized towel with hood:) That should go quickly...if nothing else comes up that is:) I will post a pic of Cam's quilt in a few days or so.

I am also crocheting a baby blanket for gbaby #14 due November 11th.

Our gson, Grant B. is wearing glasses now. He is 4 1/2 years old. One of his eyes is not as strong as the other. I forget what this condition is called. His right eye has mostly been doing all the work, so he wears a patch over it for 6 hours a day inorder to force the weaker left eye to get stronger. He goes back to the eye doc in 6 weeks to see if the weaker eye has gotten stronger. The eye doctor said Grant will have to wear glasses all his life or wear one contact in the left (weaker) eye. We are so thankful there are procedures that can be done to correct his vision. I will post a pic of him in his glasses soon. He does quite well wearing his glasses and is such the trooper! Never complains:)

Our gdaughter, Kassidy S., 6th birthday is coming up Aug. 29th. She is having a poodle party! Should be so fun! She will be wearing a poodle skirt that neenee made, of course:)

I think that has just about caught you up on the happenings of our life the past couple of months.
We are still trying to catch our breath!!!

I have a couple of other projects to work on: make an appliqued baby quilt for a friend hopefully finished by Oct., start gdaughter, Savannah's, quilt before her birthday in January 2009. I hope to start this one early in order to get in finished before the holiday season. Then there is our RV camping club that camps out once a month. We just love being with this fellowship of believers.
We also are planning a trip sometime in September, Lord willing, to Jackson and Shreveport to see our precious mothers.

Our lives are full as you can see. Warren's job at Rosemont is going very well. We are blessed.
